Traits are modifiers that boost unit’s stats (Damage, SPA & Range). When you summon a unit or obtain it from a portal, it might come with a trait. Additionally, you can reroll traits through the use ofStar Remnants or Reroll Tokens.
Rerolling Traits
To reroll traits, interact with Wis, who is outside the Evolve area in the lobby (can be teleported to by using Traits and Evolve shortcut). Currently, there are two ways to reroll a trait: usingStar Remnants or Reroll Tokens.
Star Remnants can be obtained from the Travelling Merchant Shop, by completing Daily Challenges, from removing Shinies (by interacting with Lucil in the lobby), by defeating a Star Golem in latest Infinite Mode, or a 0.25% chance from summons. If the player is usingStar Remnants to reroll a trait, the amount required depends on the unit the trait is being rerolled on:
MythicalMythical and Secret units require 5Star Remnants per reroll,
Rare, Epic and Legendary units require 1Star Remnant per reroll.
Reroll Tokens can be obtained from Battlepasses, Evolution Quests or other events. Any unit will require only 1Reroll Token per roll.Reroll Tokens can be also bought:
1Reroll Token for 129 R$ ($1.62 USD)
10Reroll Tokens for 999 R$ ($12.49 USD)
50Reroll Tokens for 4500 R$ ($56.25 USD)

Trivia
When evolving a Legendary unit to MythicalMythical, its trait will be transfered. Therefore, rolling a trait on its Legendary form will be 5 times cheaper.
Units that can benefit from this are Noruto (Beast Cloak), Erein, Akoku, Gone, Cel (Semi-Perfect).
Although Superior, Nimble and Range are Rare traits, their third variant (III) has an Epic rarity, indicated by a purple trait symbol and label.
There is also a rare chance that you can receive two traits on one unit.
When this happens, total percentage boost of two traits will be added.
Double Superior III would give a 30% Damage boost.
Double Unique would give a 600% Damage boost, 20% SPA reduction, and a 20% Range boost.
Unique can make some units as good or better than some Meta units.
Culling, despite being a Legendary trait, has a very weak effect, barely outperforming Superior I (on average).
In most circumstances, Reaper is equivalent to Superior III.
While Range boosts do not affect unit's Damage or SPA, with the right placement units with traits that boost Range might have more opportunity for attacking, thus increasing average DPS.
Golden is the only trait that effects farm units such as C.E.O and Bulby, giving 20% more gold each wave.
Rerolling a trait has a 0.2% chance for double traits.
Newly obtained units have a 1% chance to gain a trait. If successful, there is a further 1% chance to gain double traits.
